CAD was founded on 31 January 1987 by Hans Jürgen Zimmermann in Frankfurt, Germany. What he built was remarkable — a luxury goods company dealing in jewellery, watches, gemstones, and fine accessories, grown from personal conviction and an uncompromising eye for quality. He turned the Zimmermann name into something people trusted.

His work laid the foundation for everything that follows.

I am Carlos Zimmermann, his grandson. Rebuilding CAD is my way of honoring what he created — and adding my own chapter to it.

The CAD you find today is made by hand, by me personally, in my workshop. Every piece of leather cut, every stitch placed, every product finished by a single pair of hands. It is my way of bringing something intimate and lasting to a name that has always stood for quality.
